Little Miss Risk (aka Tristan Risk) is the Canadian dynamo who has been everything from a film scream-queen siren to a cute retro pin-up cupcake. The big personality in this small package is best known for her dazzling onstage presence and wit sharp enough to prick your finger on. Quickly becoming a force of nature in the burlesque scene from her fetish/Goth roots in Vancouver B.C., she is a member of Canadian burlesque troupe Sweet Soul Burlesque as well as the current brains behind the tassels of Big John Bates' devil-may-care duo, the Voodoo Dollz.

It's all her family's fault, really. At an early age, Little Miss Risk was exposed to old Hollywood glamour of the highest degree by her grandmother, a Scottish sasspot from Glasgow who maintained her love of the finer things feminine though, throughout WWII. She passed her genes onto her daughter, who in turn unleashed them in her own offspring. This dangerous DNA cocktail created a sparkly monster - a child who loved the glamour of all things past who was determined to bring them back to the present. Failing to construct a time machine to achieve this at the age of thirteen, Little Miss Risk did the next best thing....

Horror films. An admirer of all things dark and spooky, she was probably the only teen at her high school to wear thigh-high PVC boots to school. Being raised in a home with wonderful antiques and parents enthusiastic to pass on their knowledge of ball-and-claw furniture, Little Miss Risk also cultivated a taste for unique home décor. A tried-and-true Goth, she went onto act in some B grade films with Linnea Quigley and Brinke Stevens as her inspiration throughout her late teens and early twenties.

Her love of all things sparkly got the better of her though, when she turned to burlesque as an outlet to get her glamour fix. Performing everything from feather fan dances a la Sally Rand to being a rocking horse fly (Looking Glass, 2005) she continues to surprise her audience with a seemingly endless flow of tricks from up her sleeve. She currently tours internationally with Big John Bates as a Voodoo Doll and with her troupe, The Sweet Soul Burlesque. The Black Widow of burlesque now turns her attention to bringing her sexy side show to the masses...
